Perth Symphony to perform hit musical South Pacific
After sell-out seasons in Sydney, Melbourne and Brisbane, the Lincoln Center Theatre’s smash hit production of Rodgers & Hammerstein’s South Pacific comes to Crown Perth in November 2013 and will be accompanied by The Perth Symphony Orchestra.
Directed by Bartlett Sher, this ground-breaking production swept the 2008 Tony Awards® and played to sold-out houses on Broadway and the West End for two and a half years. In 2012, it premiered in Sydney to popular and critical acclaim.
The Perth Symphony Orchestra has been invited to perform our first ever season with Opera Australia and will accompany stars such as Lisa McCune, Teddy Tahu Rhodes and Christine Anu in showstoppers such as ‘Some Enchanted Evening‘, ‘I’m Gonna Wash That Man Right Outa My Hair‘, ‘Bali Ha’i‘ and ‘There is Nothin’ Like a Dame‘.
Tickets start at $74.90 and the season runs from the 10th November to 8th December and is strictly limited, so come and enjoy Perth’s newest orchestra work with some of Australia’s biggest stars and opera voices in this wonderful pre-Christmas season.
