“We make it a priority to take our music into the community, and into new and exciting places and spaces.” said PSO Executive Director, Bourby Webster. “We’ve showcased some remarkable artists alongside our professional musicians and it is wonderful to see a community’s reaction to having one of their own up on stage, singing the songs they know and love, reworked and backed by so many musicians,” she said.
The concert is only made possible thanks to the support of local organisations and businesses working in collaboration: Murdoch University, City of Melville, AHG (PSO’s Foundation Partner who has many car dealerships along the Leach Hwy automotive strip), Hawaiian (who supports PSO’s community initiative ‘PSO on the Streets’ and owns and manages Melville Plaza) and Perth Symphony sponsors HWL Ebsworth Lawyers and Seven West Media.
