WOMEN ON THE PODIUM GIVING CIRCLES

This year, we will provide more than 30 aspiring female conductors with free world-class training to build the capacity of the sector through female leadership.
This program is funded 100% by support from Wesfamers Arts and private donations, removing financial barriers to aspiring future music leaders.
When you donate to this program you join the Women on the Podium Giving Circle – a group of remarkable philanthropists who are united in their belief that we can start a revolution right here in Western Australia.
Be part of our mission to champion female leadership in our orchestras.

In 2017 the Women’s Conductor’s Circle was first launched with 22 Foundation members who gave generously to advance the career of conductor Jessica Gethin, who has had a hugely successful international conducting career and has recently been appointed the Principal Conductor at the West Australian Ballet and remains in high demand around the globe.
Since then, our renamed Women on the Podium Giving Circles has evolved to support multiple Western Australian women with notable alumni such as WASO’s Assistant Conductor Jen Winley and WA Opera’s Emerging Artist Kate McNamara.
Since it was first established, Women on the Podium has offered conducting and leadership training to more than 100 participants. We applaud the philanthropists bringing gender balance to orchestral podiums, starting right here in Western Australia.
