Delivering world-class music to engage the local community.

Hawaiian Presents ‘PSO on the Streets’ is bringing Perth alive with chamber ensembles performing iconic classical pieces sandwiched between fun and well-known jazz and contemporary charts.

“The inspiration came from my memories of visiting cities in the UK such as Bath, Oxford, Manchester and London when I was a kid, where you’d find young classical musicians pumping out crazy fast Vivaldi, or stunningly brilliant Mozart on a street corner.  There is something just so exciting seeing brilliant musicians in action where anyone from anywhere can stop and experience that for a moment or longer”.

Perth Symphony Orchestra – Executive Director, Bourby Webster

PSO aims to bring music to everyone by taking world-class musicians to the heart of the community from Claremont to Forrestfield; Mt Hawthorn to Bassendean, in Hawaiian owned properties across the Perth metropolitan area. This enables thousands of people to have access to live performances by Perth Symphony ensembles, many of whom would not have experienced a live music performance before.

Performances commenced in mid 2015 and will continue into 2016 with the aim of reaching thousands of West Australians with magical musical moments to brighten their day.

With vibrant free merch, street team members on hand bursting with information on how to get involved with music in your community, we’re creating a buzz wherever we go.

Be sure to catch one of our performances, follow us at #UrbanPSO to find out where we will be popping up next.
