Delivering world-class music to engage the local community.

‘PSO on the Streets’ is bringing Perth alive with chamber ensembles performing iconic classical pieces sandwiched between fun and well-known jazz and contemporary charts.

“The inspiration came from my memories of visiting cities in the UK such as Bath, Oxford, Manchester and London when I was a kid, where you’d find young classical musicians pumping out crazy fast Vivaldi, or stunningly brilliant Mozart on a street corner.  There is something just so exciting seeing brilliant musicians in action where anyone from anywhere can stop and experience that for a moment or longer”.

Performances in the past have taken place from Bassendean to Forrestfield, Mount Hawthorn to Claremont,  with the aim of reaching thousands of West Australians with magical musical moments and brightening their day.

We’re creating a buzz wherever we go by giving members of the community access to live Perth Symphony ensembles, many of whom would not have experienced a live music performance before.

With vibrant free merchandise and giveaways, street team members accompany the performances, handing out information on how to get involved with music in your community.
