Zest Festival

Red Bluff, Kalbarri

16 September - 18 September 2016

A Perth Symphony string quartet is delighted to be part of the magical masquerade-themed opening night of Zest Festival 2016 at Bluffs Point, Kalbarri.

Red Bluff, Kalbarri LRWithin the secluded walls of Rainbow Jungle, a night of magic unfolds as the exotic birds fall asleep and the night lights turn this beautiful pleasure garden into a night time spectacle.

Here you will be lured along the winding pathways to delight in the lights but also to experience the extraordinary performances by a string quartet from Perth Symphony Orchestra, led by Margaret Blades. Our friends at the Giovanni Consort will also be performing during the night.

With the 400-year anniversary of Dirk Hartog’s landing in Shark Bay just around the corner or should we say just up the coast this year’s Kalbarri Zest Festival promises to be a melting pot of cultures connected to the Dutch VOC trade within the India Ocean Rim. Maritime trading routes and vibrant ports saw many people travel across the globe to discover, prosper and become part of multicultural hotspots brimming with promise. The celebrations take place on the 16th, 17th & 18th September 2016.

Start the Kalbarri Zest Festival weekend off with flair and join us at this magical masquerade affair.
