Art & Music – Kathleen O’Connor

Gay Paris in the Belle Epoque, London during the blitz, surviving the great depression…welcome to an engrossing concert of chamber music crossing boundaries and borders that celebrates the life of one of WA’s most remarkable painters: Kathleen O’Connor.
Narrated by local award-winning author, Amanda Curtin, reading passages from her book ‘Kathleen O’Connor of Paris’, this concert brings to life the art of an extraordinary pioneering West Australian woman, whose life was changed irrevocably following the death of her famous father, the engineer C. Y. O’Connor.
Join us at the Art Gallery of WA for an evening of music and art that reveals the significance of this rule-breaking woman.
