The Glasshouse in Belmont was buzzing with the soulful sounds of jazz on Saturday, July 20th, as one of Perth’s foremost jazz trios went through the fundamentals of improvisation, interaction, and inspiration, with opportunities for audience members to get up and join them on stage, concluding in a very special performance.
Thanks to the renowned trio of Dr. Nick Abbey, Dr. Daniel Susnjar, and Mr. Chris Foster, the workshops drew a diverse crowd of 40 participants ranging in age from 13 to 75. Attendees delved into the fundamentals of improvisation, harmony, and rhythm, leaving inspired and eager to explore the world of jazz.
The day culminated in an enchanting candlelit concert by the trio, featuring unique jazz pieces that captivated a sold-out audience. The performance was met with rapturous applause, leaving no doubt that the PSO's jazz foray in Belmont was a resounding success
