The power of people and music: Iconic Ukrainian pianist Antuanetta Mishchenko put her stamp on the world’s history books the moment she stood on top of a bus to play the piano amidst a strife-torn Ukraine.
For one night only, Perth audiences experienced her moving performance with Perth Symphony Orchestra with 18-year old Ustym Sokalskyi on cello.
Highlights of the evening included a rendition of the Ukrainian National Anthem, features from composers Sylwestrow, Lyssenko and Lysohub and a performance of Beethoven’s 5th piano concerto ‘The Emperor.’
