On 9 & 10 December we performed The Snowman, an iconic animated story set to one of the most beautiful symphonic soundtracks. Families from far and wide came to the Dickinson Centre at Scotch College to be enchanted by this wonderful Christmas tale.
Libby Hammer and her wonderful elf hosted four engaging performances and delighted in teaching children about the instruments of the orchestra. After a live performance of The Snowman, the audience joined in a Christmas carol singalong which included a very special visit from Santa.
This annual event is fast becoming a favourite way for Perth families to take time out of their busy Christmas schedules; allowing them to be immersed in the true spirit of the festive season. The squeals of delight, wide eyes and enthusiastic applause from children warms our hearts. We are so excited to introduce younger audiences to the wonder of live symphonic music and bring music to everyone.
