Friday 11 and Saturday 12 October, Perth Symphony Orchestra illuminated WA Museum Boola Bardip's, Hackett Hall with the final tale in our series, being collectively inspired by the story of Albert Facey.
PSO explored Facey's life through the many hopes and many hardships he experienced, which led to his journey towards writing his well-loved autobiography of ‘A Fortunate Life’. We were very privileged to have assistance from Albert Facey’s granddaughter, Chris Harling, who kindly allowed for us to include family photographs, telegrams, and handwritten letters in our accompanying image display, as well as assisted us greatly with research for our narration.
A few words from our audience...
Beautifully conceived with high quality performances from orchestra, narrator and vocalist. Story sensitively told with well selected visuals. Glad we came. Thank you
It was a beautiful production that brought the story of Albert Facey to life through narration, music and pictures. Congratulations on an amazing performance.
Bravo to all who took part and the directors - the music was beautiful and so moving, the narration excellent - such a great production.
