At Perth Symphony, we believe in the power of music to bring people together, inspire change, and create meaningful connections. Our Community Engagement initiatives are at the heart of our mission, designed to foster creativity and enhance the cultural vibrancy of our state, both now and into the future.

Through our diverse range of programs and events, we can engage individuals of all ages and backgrounds, nurturing a sense of belonging and shared experience.

Join us as we collaborate with schools, community centres, artists and music enthusiasts to cultivate an inclusive space where voices are heard, stories are told, and emotions are expressed through the universal language of music.

Perth Symphony Orchestra aims to make music accessible and inclusive for people of all ages and backgrounds. We strive to enrich lives, inspire creativity and foster a love for music within the wider community.

We actively collaborate with various community groups, including choirs and cultural organisations. These collaborations result in unique and diverse performances celebrating Western Australian arts and culture’s rich tapestry.

Our School Workshops are integral to our community engagement. These programs are designed to introduce students to the world of music, orchestras, and musical instruments. WARNING - these sessions are noisy, sometimes messy and ALWAYS fun!

• Perth Symphony Musicians join a small chamber group or take a sectional from your school ensemble or orchestra.

• Our musicians can run masterclasses, give insider tips and overall enhance the quality of playing in your group.

We can customise a program or single activity to achieve the objectives of teachers and music departments. These can include workshops with singer-songwriters, demonstrations from sound engineers, rap workshops or helping a school create a new ensemble.
