This program is funded 100% by support from Wesfarmers Arts and private donations, removing financial barriers to aspiring future music leaders.

When you donate to this program you join the Women on the Podium Giving Circle – a group of remarkable philanthropists who are united in their belief that we can start a revolution right here in Western Australia.

Be part of our mission to champion female leadership in our orchestras.

In 2017 the Women’s Conductor’s Circle was launched to advance the career of conductor Jessica Gethin, who has gone on to achieve a hugely successful international conducting career including appointments as Principal Conductor at the West Australian Ballet.

Women on the Podium Giving Circles have supported other notable alumni including WASO’s Assistant Conductor Jen Winley and WA Opera’s Emerging Artist Kate McNamara.

"Ten years ago the global gender ratio was around 2%, and today it hovers around 10% sometimes just over. We have made giant steps, and it is all too easy to say ‘job done!’ Yet, in what walk of life would we celebrate a profession as inclusive, when 90% of the work force are male?"
- Alice Farnham, WOTP Artistic Advisor
